Hero MotoCorp has appointed Pallavi Singh as Head of Digital & Customer Services. Singh will be directly involved in building the next electric vehicle platform and technology ecosystem. She is currently with the Emerging Mobility Business Unit of Hero MotoCorp (Vida).

It is worth noting here that Hero MotoCorp had recently revealed its plans around Vida. Singh, interestingly, was on a year-long break before joining the 2W company. Her Linkedin profile mentions that she has been working as an independent Marketing, Brands and Strategy Advisor since March 2021. She was earlier associated with BMW India in the capacity of the OEM's Marketing Director. She was heading marketing communications, CRM and product organisation for BMW India from July 2019 to April 2021.

She has also worked with Morris Garages India as the brand's head of marketing from August 2017 to June 2019. The major duties she handled at MG India included but were not limited to scaling up operations and bringing agencies and dealer networks on board. As a matter of fact, she was a part of the founding members of the leadership team.

Singh's longest stint with a company, in her 15 years of professional innings, has been with Harley Davidson India. She joined the company in December 2009 as an Assistant Manager and rose through the ranks to become the Director of Marketing in October 2013.

Her career in the automobile marketing business began with India Yamaha Motor in January 2007 and parted ways in November 2009.

Her appointment at Hero MotoCorp is crucial for the company as the OEM has huge plans for Vida. The OEM introduced Vida as its electric vehicle brand about a month ago. The company plans to launch its first electric scooter under this brand on July 1, 2022. It is also planning to export a significant number of Vida products.
