Pure EV has received certification for battery recycling to ensure proper and responsible management of lithium-ion battery waste.

A press release from the company stated that the recycling is done at two levels: first, by recycling the lithium-ion cells and electronics to extract key metals and second, by refurbishing the aged lithium-ion batteries, which have applications in industry and rural storage solutions.

The company also plans to launch a buyback option for consumers to exchange their older generation batteries, which would have crossed 30,000 KM/40,000 km with the latest generation smart batteries.
