Renault Elevates Fabrice Cambolive As New CEO

French vehicle maker Renault has announced the elevation of Fabrice Cambolive as the CEO, effective February 1, 2023. In May 2022, Cambolive was appointed Renault brand COO.

In his new role, the 54-year-old Cambolive will report to Luca de Meo, CEO, Renault Group and work with the Renault brand Management Committee to consolidate the sustainable and profitable development of the Renault brand.

Additionally, he will also ensure the brand's transformation with the launch of 14 new vehicles by 2025 and through its expansion in Europe and internationally.

Meo said, “His commitment, his international experience and his in-depth knowledge of the group will enable him to continue to ensure the brand's progress in high-value segments.”

Graduated from TBS Education Business School in Toulouse, France, Cambolive joined Renault in 1992 and held various international Sales & Marketing positions for twenty years in Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany & Romania.

A press release from Renault noted that his international career continued in 2011 when he was appointed Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Russia and Eurasia region before being appointed as CEO of Renault of Brazil in 2015.

In 2017, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chairman of the Africa-Middle-East-India-Pacific region. Later in 2021, Cambolive was nominated Senior Vice President, Sales & Operations for the Renault brand, in charge of deploying the Renaulution strategic plan globally and leading the brand’s business model transformation.
