Royal Enfield is readying a new 450cc roadster for the Indian market and it is going to be called the Guerrilla 450. The launch is expected to take place either towards the end of June or the middle of July. This motorcycle is based on the Royal Enfiled Himalayan 450 platform. Which means it’ll derive its frame, engine, and other components from the ADV.

A look at the test mules that have been spotted in the past suggests that the Guerrilla 450 will feature a typical roadster motorcycle design. That’s evident in the circular LED headlight, the tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, and the slim tail section. Expect Royal Enfield to make the Guerrilla 450 available in a variety of colours. We could also see a long list of accessories under the Royal Enfield MIY or Make It Yours program.

The features list should also be comprehensive and is likely to include all LED lights all around, dual-channel ABS, and the colour TFT from the Himalayan.

The bike will be powered by the Himalayan’s 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 39.47bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm in the ADV. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield may tweak the engine’s state of tune and possibly the gearing to suit the performance and rideability of a roadster.

As for the price, expect the Guerrilla 450 to sit between Rs 2.3 lakh to Rs 2.6 lakh, ex-showroom, and take on the Triumph Speed 400.
