Saera Electric Auto Private Limited has entered into a contract manufacturing agreement with the two-wheeler brand Lohia Machines Limited (LML).

LML is making a comeback into the Indian market with the production of electric vehicles, which will be manufactured in the Saera Electric Plant in Bawal, Haryana, which has an annual production capacity to make two lakh E2W and 36K E3W. The latter recently announced that it will launch three electric vehicles – Moonshot motorcycle, Star scooter and Orion bike – in the next year.

Saera Electric is currently manufacturing its passenger and cargo vehicles in L3 category in the Bawal plant and gearing up to launch its new product in L 5 category E3W in both passenger and cargo segments. The product is scheduled for launch shortly once the approvals from ICAT are received.

Nitin Kapoor, MD, Saera Electric, said, “Saera’s fresh collaboration with a reputed brand like LML is another step towards our endeavor to ramp up the penetration of clean mobility on the Indian roads. Saera has long established its name in the automobile sector by redefining the norms of personal and urban commute and setting new standards of safety.'
