This innovative dash camera is the first entry-level model in the Indian market to feature a durable metal body, enhancing both its functionality and longevity. It has been rigorously tested and has earned BIS certification, assuring users of its reliability and safety standards.
The R2 Dash Camera is equipped with a state-of-the-art video encoding chipset and a high-performance low-light sensor that captures sharp 2MP images. It offers a wide 150-degree field of view through its lens and records video in 1080P resolution using the H.265 codec, ensuring high-quality footage with optimised file sizes.
A distinctive feature of the R2 is its integration with a mobile application compatible with both Android and iOS platforms. This app provides seamless connectivity with the camera, making the management of recordings straightforward and user-friendly. The camera supports storage capacities up to 128GB via micro SDHC Class 10 cards, catering to extensive recording needs without frequent overwrites.
For enhanced functionality, the R2 includes several safety features such as a three-axis acceleration sensor, built-in omnidirectional noise reduction microphone and speaker, and supports essential functions like loop recording, low light vision, and audio recording. The optional GPS functionality adds geographical data to recordings, useful for detailed tracking during incidents.
The R2 Dash Camera is available for purchase on SAFE CAMS’s website and selected premium car accessory stores in Tier 1 cities across India. An optional car charger power adapter is also available for those who prefer not to use the hardwire kit.
