Skoda Kodiaq Gets Additional Allocations For India

Skoda Auto India has announced additional allocation for its flagship SUV, Kodiaq, enabling quicker delivery timelines to customers. The new Kodiaq was first introduced in 2022. However, all cars allocated for the year were sold within a couple of weeks.

A press release from the company noted that the Kodiaq is powered by the 2.0 TSI EVO engine tweaked to meet the new emissions norms. The motor is 4.2% more efficient than earlier. The luxury 4x4 makes 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque, allowing acceleration to 100 kmph in claimed 7.8 seconds.

The year 2022 has been significant for Skoda Auto India as the company grew by 127.7% YoY in CY22, with India 2.0 project vehicles constituting about 99.9% of the total sales. Furthermore, the company plans to add six BEV models till 2026, and for India, the growth story will see the contribution of BEVs and ICEs till 2040.
