Sundram Fasteners (SF) has announced that its Powertrain Components Division has received the Supplier of the Year award from General Motors (GM) at its 31st Annual Supplier of the Year awards, making it the tenth time for the company to get this award.

The company has a unique record of receiving the Supplier of the Year award for five consecutive years from 1996 to 2000, and in 2009, 2019, 2020, 2021, and now, in 2022.

Arathi Krishna, Managing Director, SF, noted that the company’s long-standing association with GM has been built on mutual trust, collaboration, and an unyielding focus on delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.

The company has been a supplier to General Motors for over three decades, providing critical components such as transmission shafts, radiator caps, and pumps & assemblies for use in GM brands such as Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet.

Jeff Morrison, Vice President- Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, GM, noted that SF overcame countless obstacles and exemplified what it means to be resilient, resourceful and determined.

“Beyond that, these suppliers demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation and to driving advanced solutions in collaboration with the GM team,” he added.

A global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives chose winners of the Supplier of the Year awards. Parameters for evaluation were Product Purchasing, Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services, Customer Care and Aftersales and Logistics.
