Suzuki Motor Crosses 25 Million Domestic Sales Mark In India

The company achieved the first ten million sales in February 2012 while the next ten million achieved in July 2019

Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has announced that it has crossed the 25 million domestic sales mark in India since December 1983. Interestingly, of these, 2.1 million units were CNG and hybrid models.

The company achieved the first 10 million sales in February 2012 while the next 10 million were achieved by July 2019.

Suzuki signed a joint venture agreement with Maruti Udyog, the predecessor of Maruti Suzuki in 1982 and rolled out its first car, Maruti 800 in December 1983. Currently the company sells 17 models having a retail network of 3,500 outlets.

A press release from SMC noted that Maruti Suzuki will continue to provide products marked with safety, high reliability, and eco-friendliness, and contribute to sustainable development of the automobile industry.
