Tata Motors Delivers 712 EVs To Customers In Maharashtra, Goa In A Single Day

Delivered to individual customers, these EVs include 564 units of Nexon EVs and 148 units of Tigor EVs. With 21,500 EVs delivered to date, the company claims 87% market share in the EV space.


Tata EV Line-Up

Leading Indian e4W maker, Tata Motors, announced that it has delivered 712 units of its EVs, including 564 Nexon EVs and 148 Tigor EVs, in a single day to individual customers in Maharashtra and Goa.

The Nexon EV comes with an ARAI certified range of 312 on a single charge, and is powered by a 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor supported by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The e-SUV boasts a market share of 63.62%, a release from the company stated.

While the Tigor EV is equipped with a 26-kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and gives a peak power output of 55 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm, and does zero to 60 kmph in a claimed 5.7 seconds. Furthermore, it gets an ARAI certified range of 306 km.

Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said that Tata Motors is constantly working towards educating and enhancing the adoption of electric mobility in India. “We hope that this occasion sets an example for other states to join and support India’s green wave,” he added.

With 21,500 EVs delivered to date, the company claims 87% of the market share in the EV space. Additionally, to make EVs even more accessible to all, it is also working with other Tata Group companies, including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to contribute to the faster adoption of EVs in India through its EV ecosystem called the “Tata uniEVerse”, the release added.
