Tata Motors has announced crossing the 500,000 production mark for the Nexon. Currently in its second generation, the compact SUV from the carmaker was first launched in 2017.
Earlier in September 2022, the company announced that Nexon had crossed the four lakh production mark. The first 100,000 units of the model were produced in one year and ten months since its launch in September 2017.
For the next 100,000 units, the company took another year and 11 months. However, the company noted that the following two lakh units were produced in just 15 months with a growth rate of 72% YTD.
The compact SUV from Tata Motors is available with petrol, diesel, and electric powertrain options. Interestingly, the Nexon EV is the most sold EV in the Indian market.
