Tork Motors Launches Two Variants Of KRATOS Bike For Starting Price Of INR 1.07 Lakh

The bikes come with three years of warranty; while KRATOS is available in white, the KRATOS-R comes in four colour options - white, blue, red and black.

Electric motorcycle manufacturer Tork Motors on Wednesday announced the launch of KRATOS and its variant KRATOS-R for INR 1.07 lakh and INR 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom Pune post-subsidy), respectively.

Customers can book the motorcycle through the company's website, and deliveries will commence from April 2022. 

According to a press release from the company, the motorcycle that is 100% designed and made in India is powered by an axial flux motor powered by the company's proprietary 4kWh TORK LIION battery pack. The battery is water-resistant (up to one meter) and has an intelligent battery management system that records data from four different temperature sensors, voltage and current for real-time analytics.

KRATOS has a range of 120 km and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph within four seconds, along with a max speed of 100 kmph. On the other hand, KRATOS-R offers a maximum speed of 105 kmph with acceleration (0-40 kmph) in 3.5 secs. 

Built with high strength steel, the bike features the signature split trellis frame with the battery pack nestled within to make it a compact and manoeuvrable motorcycle. It has a multi-drive mode, reverse mode, front storage box, battery indicator, safe home feature, crash alert, and an anti-theft system. Besides, it has a spotlight with DRL, hazard light and guide me home lights. Moreover, the bike is capable of receiving over the air updates.

The bike comes with a home charger. In addition, the company plans to install a network of charging stations called T NET around the city for the ease and connectivity of riders. Customers of KRATOS-R can access Tork Motor's charging network T NET® without any charge for a period of two years, the company said. 

The bike offers mobile connectivity showcasing in-app navigation, information on battery levels, and vital details at the customer's fingertips.

For service, its proprietary operating system 'TIROS' and built-in 4G telemetry will allow its team to offer proactive service.

In addition, the electric motorcycle features geofencing, find my vehicle function, motor walk assist, crash alert, track mode analytics, smart charge analysis and vacation mode. 

The press release said that the company has filed more than 50 patents and designs under Intellectual Property Rights, the release added.
