Homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company on Monday launched TVS 'Built To Order' (BTO) concept, marking its foray into the factory customisation and personalisation platform.

The platform enables customers to customise and personalise their factory-built vehicles to suit their needs upon purchase.

Meghashyam Dighole, Head (Marketing), Premium Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, said the BTO empowers its customers to customise and personalise their machines as per their requirements.

The new platform will debut with the company's flagship motorcycle, the TVS Apache RR 310, and gradually move into other products.

Customers have a choice of two predefined kits, namely Dynamic Kit and Race Kit, to suit their needs. This allows them to adapt the chassis to their driving style or the road conditions.

Orders for the new platform can be made by the TVS ARIVE app or the web configurator, which will allow them to configure their motorcycle. Once the customisation is complete, the total ex-showroom cost of the motorcycle will be updated simultaneously.

The company is also upgrading its existing fleet of TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycles with more features. It will be equipped with a racier exhaust note, an improved lean angle, and a unique wave bite key.

Existing TVS Apache RR 310 customers can also avail some of these features as accessories, including the race handlebar, race footrest, race footpeg, and new cluster features in the form of software updates, which can be retrofitted to their motorcycles.
