The Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) business unit of the global technology company ZF announced that it has manufactured half a million TraXon systems in Friedrichshafen since production began there in 2014.

The transmission system offers many technological advantages such as top-level efficiency of up to 99.7%, lower fuel consumption, and strong design quality and reliability, a communication from the company, noted.

In addition, it features ZF’s innovative PreVision GPS shifting strategy for high energy savings, the release added.

The company claimed that, with these features, the TraXon Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system delivers energy efficiency and value in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

Winfried Gründler, Senior Vice President, ZF Group, said that light, strong and intelligent, TraXon’s groundbreaking technology supports growing worldwide customer demand for efficient systems and helps ensure that they have the most advanced trucks on the road.

“Passing the half-million systems mark in just one of our production facilities is a powerful achievement which further underlines ZF’s global technology systems leadership,” Gründler added.
