This saw 22 candidates in Vijayawada and 10 in Hyderabad get a placement opportunity

Hero MotoCorp’s Atalji Skill Development Institute and Swarna Bharath Trust, the affiliated training centre of Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), conducted a certification ceremony and placement drive under Project Jeevika in Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

According to a press release from ASDC, 22 (of 23) candidates in Vijayawada and 10 in Hyderabad got a placement. The event was attended by Deb Kumar Dasgupta- DGM and Lead Manager of Manpower Sourcing, Hero MotoCorp, DVN Rao, ED, Swarna Bharat Trust and others. 

Dasgupta and Rao said the objective of the project was to impart vocational training to underprivileged school and college dropouts. It would also provide short term training as two-wheeler technicians/supervisors and help out in employment subsequently.

Arindam Lahiri, CEO, ASDC, said, 'These certified students make us extremely proudand we look forward to continuing to work with Hero to create skill development opportunities for individuals in this industry.'
