Audi Opens Bookings For New Q3, Deliveries In December 2022

Sitting on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A2, the new SUV from the German carmaker will be available in two trim levels -Premium Plus and Technology.

German luxury carmaker Audi India has commenced the bookings for the upcoming new Q3 at INR 2 lakh. Additionally, the first 500 customers will receive lucrative ownership benefits, including an extended warranty and a comprehensive service package.  

According to a press release from Audi India, the deliveries are expected to start towards the end of 2022. Earlier in April 2020, the SUV, along with other vehicles from the stable, was discontinued by the carmaker while transitioning to the BS-6 era.

Sitting on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A2, the new offering from the German carmaker will be available in two trim levels - Premium Plus and Technology.

Powering both the trim level is a 2.0l TFSI engine delivering 190hp and 320Nm of torque to all four wheels using the Quattro all-wheel drive system.

The new Q3 will come as standard with 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, LED Headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, panoramic glass sunroof, power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, seat upholstery in leather-leatherette combination and rear seat plus with fore/aft adjustment. In addition, it has a leather-wrapped three-spoke multifunction plus steering wheel with paddle shifters, ambient lighting package (single colour), scuff plates with aluminium inserts in the front, and frameless auto-dimming interior rearview mirror and a 2-zone climate control system. Besides, the SUV has a start/stop system with regenerative braking and exterior mirrors, power-adjustable, heated & power folding, and auto-dimming on both sides.

It will also feature a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth Interface, six speakers audio system, Audi Smartphone Interface and Electromechanical power steering, to name a few.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Technology trim level will offer the interior an aluminium look, including elements on the mirror adjustment switch, the power window switches and the parking brake control button. Moreover, it has the door strips in aluminium look along with MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch, Audi drive select, virtual cockpit plus, ambient lighting package plus with 30 colours, comfort key with gesture-controlled tailgate, luggage compartment lid, electrically opening and closing, phone box with a wireless charging system and ten speakers, 180W Audi sound system.

On the safety side, the Audi Q3 will feature six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors and top tether for outer rear seats, and anti-theft wheel bolts along with a cruise control system with speed limiter and parking aid plus with a rearview camera as standard.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, noted that the Q3 has been the company’s best-selling model. The SUV was first launched in 2012 in India.
