Blu Smart Inks Pact With Tata Motors To Source 10,000 XPRES T EVs

The XPRES T EV comes with two battery pack options, including 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh, delivering ARAI certified range options including 213km and 165km, respectively.

Indian EV maker Tata Motors announced the signing of an agreement for delivering 10,000 XPRES T EVs with Blu Smart.

With deliveries starting soon, these vehicles will be used across the country for commuters, a release from the carmaker said.

Earlier in October 2021, the EV fleet operator also placed an order for 3,500 of the EV sedan type, the release added.

Launched back in July 2021, the XPRES T EV comes with two battery pack options, including 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh, delivering ARAI certified range options including 213km and 165km, respectively.

Additionally, it gets a single-speed automatic transmission, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard across variants.

The company currently enjoys a claimed 87% of the EV market share in India, with over 25,000 units of its EVs sold since 2019.

Furthermore, it is also closely working with other Tata Group companies, including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to build its EV ecosystem called the 'Tata uniEVerse'.
