BMW Motorrad has launched the new BMW M 1000 XR in India in the crossover motorcycle category. The M 1000 XR, now available for booking at all authorised BMW Motorrad dealerships in India, is powered by a modified version of the S 1000 RR's 4-cylinder engine. This engine delivers a staggering 201 bhp at 12,750 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm, enabling the bike to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 278 kmph.

Reflecting its racing heritage, the M 1000 XR incorporates BMW ShiftCam technology to optimise valve timing and lift, enhancing performance across the engine's broad rev range. The motorcycle's dynamic capabilities are further emphasised by its aggressive styling, featuring new M winglets, signature LED lighting, and a high-performance chassis with advanced suspension settings.

The M 1000 XR has a 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity features, multiple riding modes to suit various conditions ('Rain', 'Road', 'Dynamic', 'Race', and 'Race Pro1-3'), and the latest generation of Dynamic Traction Control and wheelie control systems.

Priced at INR 45,00,000 (ex-showroom), the M 1000 XR is available in an exclusive Blackstorm metallic / M Motorsport colour scheme, accentuating its sporty and premium look. Customers can further personalise their motorcycles with a wide range of optional equipment and original BMW Motorcycle accessories.

Deliveries for the new BMW M 1000 XR are set to begin in June 2024. To facilitate ownership, BMW Financial Services India is offering customised financial solutions, allowing customers to secure loans before delivery. Furthermore, the bike comes with a standard three-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, with an option to extend for a fourth and fifth year. Road-side assistance ensures additional peace of mind for riders.
