Government-owned oil and gas corporation, BPCL, has announced the appointment of Sanjay Khanna as the new Director of Refineries effective February 22, 2022.

According to the press release from the corporation, Khanna is a Chemical Engineering graduate from NIT, Tiruchirapalli and a Post Graduate in Finance Management from Mumbai University with experience of more than 30 years in refinery operations.

Furthermore, he has earlier held the positions of Chief General Manager In-charge (Mumbai Refineries), Executive Director (Kochi Refineries) and Executive Director In-charge of Refineries, where he headed the refineries operations of BPCL.

The company is developing a vibrant ecosystem and a roadmap to becoming a net-zero energy company by 2040, in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, the release added. In view of this, it recently partnered with Hero MotoCorp to set up a network of 7,000 charging stations for e2Ws across the country.
