Continental Tires hosted a successful Track Day in Chennai, providing an exclusive platform to showcase its latest advancements in tire engineering, safety, and performance. The event, held on January 12, 2024, offered participants a hands-on experience with Continental's newly launched Cross Contact H/T, emphasising practical usage over a mere product demonstration.

The CrossContact H/T, designed for both on and off-road driving (80% on and 20% off-road), boasts a robust and durable structure specifically tailored to the demands of the Indian market. The multi-purpose tread not only ensures high mileage, comfort, and safety but also features a unique verification indicator. Crafted with precision at the Modipuram plant, the CrossContact H/T caters to the increasing demand for SUVs in India, offering versatility across rim sizes from 15 to 18 inches in diameter.

Samir Gupta, Managing Director of Continental Tires India and Head of Central Region BA RE APAC, expressed his enthusiasm about the Continental Track Day, emphasising its role as an experiential platform for showcasing products. The response, he noted, aligns with the company's expansion strategy for India.

The CrossContact H/T's distinctive features include a robust structure designed to handle mild off-road terrains, grip teeth in tread grooves for additional traction on loose surfaces, strong tire shoulders to prevent damage from stones, and a special tread for low rolling noise, ensuring a comfortable ride.

In addition to the CrossContact H/T, Continental also introduced its range of Intelligent Tyres as part of Conti360 Digital Solutions. Equipped with sensors, these digital solutions enable 24x7 monitoring of fleet tires, promoting road safety and reducing maintenance costs. The I-tyres, designed for tubeless tires, enhance safety on Indian roads through benefits such as increased tire mileage, optimised fuel consumption, and real-time alerts for punctures or loss of air pressure.

Continental's commitment to providing innovative and practical tyre solutions was evident at the Track Day, where participants experienced first-hand the performance and safety features of the CrossContact H/T and the cutting-edge technology embedded in Intelligent Tyres.
