Ducati has expanded its superbike lineup with the launch of the Panigale V2 Black in India. Priced at Rs 20.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Panigale V2 Black sits above the standard model.

This new variant is limited to aesthetic upgrades only. It gets gloss black paint all over the body, with red coloured stickers on the fairing and the fuel tank. The black alloy wheels have a red rim stripe but it only covers half the circumference and looks pretty neat.

The Panigale V2 gets its power from a 955cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin engine which makes a whopping 155bhp at 10,750rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. When it comes to electronics, this Ducati is well-equipped. It has various riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, engine brake control and more.

Under the pretty bodywork is an aluminium monocoque frame, with a 43mm, fully adjustable Showa USD fork and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Monobloc M 4.32 callipers at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear.

The Ducati Panigale V2 is one of the most expensive bikes in the class. Plus, the additional Rs 30,000 for this variant makes it quite expensive.
