GreenCell Mobility Deploys 150 E-Buses In Ayodhya For Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony

This initiative aligns with Ayodhya's vision to become an eco-friendly tourist hub. The fleet of electric buses was inaugurated in Ayodhya by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Shree Yogi Adityanath, on January 14, 2024.

GreenCell Mobility, a leading provider of electric mobility solutions, has been selected as a partner by the Director of Urban Transport to deploy 150 intra-city electric buses in Ayodhya for the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. This eco-friendly fleet is set to play a crucial role in providing intra-city transportation services to an estimated 2 million devotees in Ayodhya from mid-January to the end of February.

Devndra Chawla, CEO & MD, GreenCell Mobility, said, 'The Government's decision to utilise electric buses for this grand occasion aligns perfectly with our vision. It's not just about ferrying passengers; it's about being a part of a collective journey towards a cleaner and greener future.'

The company has already deployed over 700 buses in Uttar Pradesh, saving over 22,000 tonnes of tailpipe emissions annually. With the addition of these 150 buses in Ayodhya, the company aims to further strengthen its partnership with the State and contribute to achieving its goals of electrifying public transport.
