Himalayan to use new H125 for passenger transportation and aerial work missions, beginning operations soon.

Leading Indian helicopter fleet operator for pilgrimage and aerial work sectors, Himalayan Heli Services, has announced the induction of the seventh Airbus H125 helicopter into its fleet with the felicitation ceremony held at the Wings India 2022 event in Hyderabad.

Himalayan Heli Services will use the helicopter for passenger transportation and aerial work missions, beginning operations at the end of this month. 

These H125 helicopters come with a passenger capacity of seven, including the pilot and the co-pilot. Airbus quotes a top speed of 140knts for these helicopters, which have a range of 340Nm with an endurance of four-and-a-half hours.

Furthermore, these choppers also have a name for their versatility, low maintenance as well as low acquisition costs while excelling in high and hot and extreme environments.

Himalayan Heli Services has the largest of fleet of H125s in the India & South Asia region. It has completed 50,000 flying hours and ferried more than 200,000 passengers through its various services since 1998.

It currently offers pilgrimage services to Vaishno Devi, Amarnath, Kedarnath and Hemkund valleys and some custom and sightseeing services.
