Honda Shine 125cc Motorcycle Achieves One Crore Sales Mark

The company holds a 50% market share in the 125cc segment, with a 29% YoY growth rate over the vehicle’s 14-year history.

The Japanese two-wheeler manufacture, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, on Tuesday announced that the company’s Shine 125cc motorcycle has crossed one crore sales mark in India.

A press release from the company said that with this milestone, the 2-wheeler maker holds a 50% market share in the 125cc segment, with a 29% YoY growth rate over the vehicle’s 14-year history.

Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, said, “We are humbled by the tremendous response that Shine has received over the years. On behalf of HMSI family, I would like to thank our customers for putting their valuable trust in brand Shine.”

 Priced between INR 71,550 and INR 76,346 for the drum and disc variant respectively, the Shine is powered by a BS-VI compliant 125cc fuel-injected engine. It is paired to a new 5-speed transmission and produces 10.7PS at 7500rpm and 11Nm at 6000rpm.
