Ken Ramirez has been elevated as the President, Head of Global Commercial Vehicle Business Division while Airton Cousseau is President & CEO, Hyundai Motor Brazil & Hyundai Motor Central/South America

Hyundai Motor Company has elevated Ken Ramirez, as the Executive Vice President - Head of Global Commercial Vehicle Business Division and will report to Jay Chang, Global CEO of the company.

Ramirez currently holds the position of President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Brazil and Hyundai Motor Central and South America region. He joined the company in 2021 with over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, holding various leadership positions across Europe, USA, Japan, Mexico and Latin America, in the Renault-Nissan Alliance and PSA Group.l

Following Ramirez’s promotion, Airton Cousseau will be appointed his successor as President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Brazil and Hyundai Motor Central and South America Region as the company looks to continue the positive momentum in the region.

Cousseau joins back the company for the second time, and reports to José Muñoz, President and CEO, Americas SR and President & Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company.

Muñoz said, “As one of the top global executives of Hyundai, we wish Ramirez the best in his promotion to lead the Global Commercial Vehicle Business at HMC.”

He added that Cousseau will be an integral part of the company’s regional leadership team and his unique skillset and experience will carry forward the strong foundation built over the past two years and support the continued growth of Hyundai in the Central and South America region.
