The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Show 2023, organised by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), with the nodal testing agency under the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), will be held on 7th December at the ICAT Test Track in Manesar. Together with live demonstrations, the ADAS Show 2023 will feature an exhibition along with expert sessions from automotive leaders working in the field of ADAS.

India has nearly 1.5 lakh road fatalities in a year. With 25% components attributing to electronics, and rising continuously, safety systems are a critical part of this increase. Dr Hanif Qureshi, Joint Secretary, MHI mentions “Human errors have been known to be an important cause of road accidents leading to fatalities and serious injuries. Another aspect is traffic and congestion management in heavily populated cities. All these problems can be addressed by ADAS technology based solutions as we see V2V and V2X connected systems being developed. Also, promoting optimized driving behaviour through ADAS systems will further the cause of sustainability and lower emissions”.

Companies participating for this show include ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India, Honda Cars India, Humanetics, Starkenn Technologies, MG Motor India, Genesys International, Entwurfen Safety Solutions, onsemi, UNO Minda and more. “We do not want to just a regulatory body, but the enablers for ADAS technology for all vehicles. The ADAS Show will give all the stakeholders a chance to bring and demonstrate their individual technology solutions under one roof, and communicate with each other for collaborating on feasible solutions” stated Saurabh Dalela, Director, ICAT.
