Gulfstream has made the international debut of its all-new ultralong-range Gulfstream G800 at the Farnborough International Airshow.

The business jet made its first international flight arrive at the show and flew from Savannah to Gulfstream Customer Support’s Farnborough, England, facility.

Mark Burns, President, Gulfstream, said, 'Thanks to our strategic planning and the investments Gulfstream has made in our new aircraft programmes, we are able to fly the G800 with remarkable efficiency and bring the aircraft directly to customers early in the flight test program, as we have in Farnborough.'

The G800 made its maiden flight on June 28 and is the longest-range business aircraft in the industry. It can fly a distance of 14,816 kilometres at Mach 0.85 and 12,964 km at Mach 0.90. The aircraft can seat up to 19 passengers with sleeping space for up to ten. It also features the lowest cabin altitude in the industry.

The G800 features the most extensive use of touch-screen technology in the industry and is also equipped with Gulfstream’s Symmetry Flight Deck with active-control sidesticks.

The Gulfstream Farnborough Service Center is one of the company’s newest and most modern and has been in operation for two years. Up to 13 of Gulfstream’s larger aircraft, including the G650ER, G700 and G800 can be accommodated at the 225,000-square-foot/20,903-square-meter facility.
