Kia Corporation has unveiled the first teaser images of its upcoming electric vehicle, the EV3, marking the latest addition to its burgeoning EV lineup. The vehicle is set to go on sale later this year.

The teaser images reveal a bold and robust design characterised by geometric lines and a dynamic style. Notably, the EV3 features boxy rear fenders and a distinctive tailgate, complemented by Kia's signature Star Map lighting. These elements together forge a strong, futuristic identity for the vehicle.

Drawing inspiration from the design principles of Kia's flagship EV9 SUV, the EV3 is crafted under the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. This approach not only ensures continuity across Kia’s model range but also allows each vehicle to express its unique character.

Positioned as a compact yet feature-rich EV SUV, the vehicle promises improved performance and innovative technology and is designed to make electric mobility more accessible.

Kia plans to hold the global world premiere of the EV3 on May 23rd, which will be live-streamed on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel at 19:00 KST (10:00 GMT / 12:00 CET).
