L Ganesh To Retire As Chairman Of Rane Group Operating Entities

Stepping into Ganesh's shoes as Chairman of Rane Group from April 1, 2024, will be Harish Lakshman, who joined ZF Rane Automotive India (formerly Rane TRW Steering Systems) in 1998 and has since held various leadership positions, including MD and Vice Chairman of Rane Group.

The Rane Group, a leading player in the automotive sector, has announced significant leadership changes at the board level. L Ganesh, who has served as Chairman of the operating entities of Rane Group since November 2006, will retire from this role effective March 31, 2024. However, he will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Director on these entities and retain his position as Chairman and Managing Director of Rane Holdings Limited.

Stepping into Ganesh's shoes as Chairman of Rane Group from April 1, 2024, will be Harish Lakshman. He joined ZF Rane Automotive India (formerly Rane TRW Steering Systems) in 1998 and has since held various leadership positions, including Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Rane Group.

During his tenure, Ganesh spearheaded the Total Quality Management (TQM) movement, resulting in three of Rane's businesses winning the prestigious Deming Grand Prize. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to TQM, he was honoured with the Deming Award in 2022. Under his leadership, the Group's revenue surged from INR 1,050 crore to approximately INR 7,200 crore, with export sales doubling from 12% to 24%.
