Lexus India will continue to focus on popular Lexus ES 300h to meet the customer expectation, said Tanmay Bhattacharya, its Executive Vice-President. 'It continues to captivate more guests with its incomparable quietness, elegant design, unmatched craftsmanship and hybrid technology,” he said.

In a statement, he said, 'we are confident to carry forward the growth momentum as we aim to exceed the achievements of the previous year and undertake rapid and yet sustainable product line up expansion.' The Lexus ES 300h had been a key model in the Lexus line-up. 'Manufactured locally reinforcing Lexus’ commitment to ‘Make in India’, the Lexus ES 300h has significantly aided our growth in India,' he said.

The year gone by marked an important milestone for Lexus India, he said. 'We registered our best ever sales, since our inception in 2017. A strong growth in the luxury car market, electrified model mix supported hybrid-electric technology along with a slew of initiatives in the brand space, has contributed to the substantial growth throughout the year,' he added.

Lexus introduced three new models last year- the new RX 500h F-Sport Performance, RX 350h Luxury and the ultra-luxury all new Lexus LM - a luxury mover. For Lexus, Hybrid powertrains have been a significant focus due to their ability to provide efficient and eco-friendly mobility without the range limitations of fully electric vehicles. 'While strong hybrids offer impressive fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, we are also closely monitoring the evolution of electric vehicle infrastructure and consumer preference. Our approach is to offer a diversified portfolio that caters to various customer needs, and as electric vehicle infrastructure improves, we are open to expanding our electric offerings,' he said
