Maruti Suzuki Releases Annual Integrated Report FY23

In its Annual Integrated Report for Financial Year 2022-23, titled ‘Maruti Suzuki 3.0’, the company noted that till the end of FY23, it has catered to around 27 million customers in India and around 100 countries.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has said that the company increased its production capacity from 20,000 units a year when it began its operations to two million units in FY23.

In its Annual Integrated Report for Financial Year 2022-23, titled ‘Maruti Suzuki 3.0’, the company noted that till the end of FY23, it has catered to around 27 million customers in India and around 100 countries.

R C Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India, noted that the company was a public enterprise in its first phase. The second phase ended with the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Indian car market became the third largest in the world. 

“It took us 40 years to create a capacity of two million units, and Suzuki Motor Corporation helped in this process by establishing the Gujarat facility. The company now has to add the next two million in a period of nine years,” he said.

Bhargava continued that MSI’s exports rose to 259,000 units last year. “We expect the demand for exports to continue to grow, and export volumes are projected at 750,000-800,000 cars by FY31,” the Chairman added.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, stated that with expanding capacity, offering multiple carbon reduction technologies, and bringing many new products, the company is writing a new chapter in the history of the company - ‘Maruti Suzuki 3.0’.
