Matter, ARAI Sign MoU To Collaborate On Next-Generation Mobility Solutions

Focus will be on functional safety, electronics reliability, and cybersecurity in addition to testing, validation and pre-certification of EV systems & components and next-gen power electronics, among others.

Technology start-up Matter has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to collaborate on the areas of functional safety, electronics reliability, and cyber security for next-generation mobility solutions. 

The MoU also states that the two signatories will establish a framework for cooperation on various projects, including testing, validation and pre-certification of EV systems and components; NVH simulation and testing of EVs; next generation power electronics and vehicle & component level simulation focused on electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

The MoU was signed by Dr Reji Mathai, Director, ARAI and Mohal Rajiv Lalbhai, Founder and CEO, Matter in the presence of Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey; Kumar Prasad Telikepalli, Founder and CTO, Matter; Arun Singh, Founder and COO, Matter; Nitin Dhande, Sr Deputy Director, Business Development & Corporate Planning, ARAI and others.

“We at Matter believe in redefining the present and reimagining the future. We are very proud of our association with ARAI and are looking forward to mutually explore new areas of collaboration to strengthen the EV ecosystem in the country,” Lalbhai said. 

Dr Mathai echoed similar sentiments and said the collaboration will open new opportunities in the field of EVs and energy storage solutions by leveraging ARAI’s experience, expertise, and equipment. “With ARAI’s rich resource pool, and Matter’s capabilities, we can achieve scalable growth in the next generation mobility solutions through this association,” he said.
