Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), a subsidiary of the Anglian Omega Group, has established a strategic partnership with Log9 Materials to deploy 10,000 of its e3Ws, comprising the Rage+ Rapid EVs in Tier-II and Tier-III markets by FY24.

Log9’s InstaCharging stations will support these e3W cargo loaders, the EV maker noted.

Furthermore, the partnership will facilitate INR 150 crore investment in setting up fast-charging infrastructure across the nation by FY24, a press release from the EV maker stated.

In addition, the companies will establish fleet partners in each of these cities/towns, making them early adopters and ambassadors of EV technology in their local markets, the release added.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility, stated that the last-mile delivery ecosystem is currently growing leaps and bounds, switching to EVs in Tier-II and Tier-III becomes a must to counter environmental concerns due to vehicular emissions as two-thirds of India resides in places.

E3Ws, owing to their low operating and maintenance costs, make an economically viable and environmentally friendly option for commercial use in these cities.

Dr Akshay Singhal, Founder and CEO, Log9 Materials, said, “We firmly believe that India’s vision to turn into a fully EV-led nation by 2030 cannot be met unless the Tier-II and Tier-III cities and towns join the movement.”
