Piaggio Vehicles has launched the Ape NXT+ three-wheeler in India at ex-showroom pricing of INR 235,811 onwards for the CNG variant. The company is positioning it as 'Mileage Ka Raja' in the Indian market and has launched the same in petrol and LPG variants.

Offering mileage of up to 50km/kg of CNG, the OEM claims that Ape NXT+ is an indigenously researched and developed vehicle for the Indian market. Piaggio will be offering the same equipped with tubeless tyres, dual-tone seats and a newly designed canopy with transparent windows.

The company is the only fuel agonistic three-wheeler brand in India with a product portfolio in Petrol, Diesel, CNG, LPG and Electric for both cargo and passenger segments, noted Saju Nair, EVP and Head Domestic Business CV (ICE) & Retail Finance, Piaggio India. He said, 'The 3-valve technology engine is designed for powerful pickup and exceptional driving experience. We certainly believe that with the CNG network increasing in many cities in India, the Apé NXT+ will help us deliver that extra value to the customers who have been looking for a new CNG product in the market.”

Diego Graffi, Chairman & MD, Piaggio India, added, “The rising demand of alternative fuel options and the need to control pollution is giving an impetus to CNG powered vehicles. The new Apé NXT+ is designed and developed in India for the Indian market and will also be exported to markets overseas.'
