Volkswagen India has further expanded in Tamil Nadu by opening a new city store in Chennai, aiming to enhance vehicle accessibility and customer service in the region. This strategic move increases the automotive giant's total network to 26 sales and 20 service facilities across 21 cities within the state.

The newly inaugurated Chennai facility boasts a modern showroom with a five-car display, prominently featuring Volkswagen's top-rated models—the Virtus, Taigun, and the flagship Tiguan, all of which have received a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. This expansion is part of Volkswagen’s broader initiative to increase its footprint across India, where it now commands a network spanning 155 cities.

The Chennai store, managed by KUN Capital Motors under the leadership of Arun Uppuswamy, employs a team of 70 dedicated sales and service executives. The showroom's design allows customers to experience Volkswagen's high safety standards firsthand, aligning with the company's commitment to offering premium and reliable vehicles.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, emphasised the strategic importance of the Chennai Metropolitan Area, highlighting the success of the Virtus model. “The inauguration of our new city store reiterates our commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality, safe vehicles in India,” stated Gupta.

Furthermore, the facility offers enhanced customer service options, including express service and doorstep services via the Volkswagen Mobile Service Unit, making maintenance and repairs more convenient for customers.
