Piaggio Launches Refreshed SR 160 At INR 1.17 Lakh

The new Aprilia SR 160 features a fresh design language that has been inspired by the flagship RSV4.

Piaggio India on Tuesday launched Aprilia SR 160 Range of scooters at an ex-showroom price of INR 1.17 lakh and the SR 125 model at INR 1.07 lakh. 

The scooters can be booked for INR 5,000 via the company's official website, the company said. The new Aprilia SR 160 features a fresh design language that has been inspired by the flagship RSV4. 

Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio India, said, “Evolution of brand Aprilia is very interesting in India, SR as an innovative design with big wheels in scooters has already created a segments of Aprilia experience seekers.” 

Sudhanshu Agrawal, Head 2-Wheeler Business, Piaggio India, said, “New SR is an exciting representation of latest Aprilia brand look; it’s going to enhance its prominence on the road with new imposing stance and with best technology incorporated, representing the true Aprilia spirit.” 

The SR 160 is powered by a 160cc 3V Tech EFI engine that delivers 11 PS at 7,600 RPM and 11.6NM of torque at 6,000 RPM, while the SR 125 is powered by a 125cc engine. 

The new scooter comes with five colour options, White, Blue, Grey, Red, and Matt Black, and includes features such as high lumen LED headlights and position lights, 210 sq cm full digital multifunctional cluster, USB charger, boot light dual style seats, knuckle guards, new raised rear grab, carbon texture components, ABS, and 14' alloy wheels among others.
