Airline training providers Skyborne and IndiGo are conducting seminars across Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Gurugram for the prospective pilot cadets to learn more about its pilot programme.

Lee Woodward, CEO, Skyborne, said, “India is one of the world’s fastest growing aviation markets and is facing an unprecedented need for pilots. The demand for travel in India is back, and combined with IndiGo’s recent aircraft orders, the opportunity for future IndiGo pilots has never been better. The IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme with Skyborne offers international training experience, FAA and DGCA dual licences, and a clear path to an exciting career with one of the best airlines in the world.

The seminars have already been completed in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai, with Gurugram being the last city to host the seminar.

Those who are yet to complete their DGCA CPL theory exams have the additional option to undertake Skyborne’s SKYWORX India DGCA Distance Learning Programme before they commence flight training.

The programme's final phase is the completion of a Multi-Crew Cooperation Course (MCC) and Airbus A320 type rating. Having been selected by IndiGo from the start, successful applicants receive support and a Letter of Intent to employ (LOI) from the airline. Skyborne was selected in 2019 to train IndiGo A320 First Officers.
