Axalta Coating Systems has unveiled its 2024 Global Automotive Colour of the Year – Starry Night, marking the 10th year of this annual tradition.
For the first time, the chosen shade is black, with Starry Night featuring light blue and silver flakes, symbolising space exploration and the boundless imagination driving innovation.
As a versatile and dynamic colour, Starry Night complements various design styles and harmonizes effortlessly with different colours, finishes, patterns, and textures. Axalta's Global Colour Marketing Director, Dan Benton, emphasises the significance of featuring a black shade, considering black as the second most popular automotive colour globally.
Starry Night is described as a blend of cosmic and classic, offering a distinctive and bold choice for the automotive industry.
