Sumeet Tandon, Chief Market Development Officer at Varroc, has quit.

According to top industry sources, he is now set to take on a bigger role in a company in the electric vehicle space and operating in the NCR region. While speculation is rife about which automaker this could be, the fact remains that the EV industry is now truly seeking the best brains available to take on future challenges.

Tandon moved to Varroc in September 2018 after working for about four years with Lumax Group as Executive Vice President where he looked after business development and strategy.

At Varroc, he was instrumental in expanding the business, especially the foray into making components for electric vehicles. This was by way of sewing up agreements with Sensata Technologies. This is a global industrial technology company and leading provider of sensor-rich solutions that create insights for customers.

Tandon was also instrumental in a tie-up with British Columbia-based Delta-Q which designs, tests and manufactures robust battery chargers to make EV components. During his tenure, Varroc also forayed into telematics.

Tandon led the group's growth in the four-wheeler segment where the business grew rapidly. His new assignment clearly promises to be an exciting one.
