Tata Motors Launches The Sporty Altroz Racer Delivering 118bhp mobility outlook

Tata Motors has announced the launch of a sporty variant of Altroz Racer. It gets a 1.2l turbocharged petrol engine delivering 118 bhp at 5500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque between 1750 and 4000 rpm. The Altroz Racer is packed with advanced features, making it the top-of-the-line version of the Altroz series. It includes a 360-degree camera, a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and six airbags as standard. Notably, it is the only hatchback in its segment to offer a six-speed manual gearbox, ensuring a lively driving experience both in city traffic and on highways. The Altroz Racer is available in three variants—R1, R2, and R3—and comes in three colours: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White.

In addition to launching the Altroz Racer, Tata Motors has introduced two new variants (XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX) and upgraded one variant (XZ+OS) in the Altroz range. These new variants will be available with petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG powertrains, enhancing the versatility and appeal of the Altroz lineup.

The pricing for the Altroz Racer (all prices ex-showroom):

R1: INR 949,000

R2: INR 1,049,000

R3: INR 1,099,000

For the newly introduced and upgraded Altroz variants:

XZ LUX (Petrol NA MT): INR 899,900

XZ+S LUX (Petrol NA MT): INR 964,990

XZ+OS (Petrol NA MT): INR 998,900

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, stated 'Altroz Racer’s high power output, combined with segment-leading features and a tech-first approach, makes the Racer desirable for new generation customers who are connected, fashion-forward, and want to drive a car that stands out.'

The Altroz Racer features a 10.2-inch infotainment system, 6 airbags, an electric sunroof with voice assist, iRA connected car technology, wireless charging, front ventilated seats, leatherette seats, a 7-inch TFT digital cluster, an air purifier, and more. These features enhance the comfort aspect of the premium hatchback.
