Homegrown automaker Tata Motors announced that it has surpassed the 400,000 production mark for the Tiago that is manufactured at its Sanand facility, Gujarat.

Further, to make it special, the company has launched #Tiago4ever campaign to celebrate with its employees and customers across all Tata Motors offices, plants and customer touchpoints, a press release from the company added.

Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said, ““Tiago has been a key product in our Turnaround 2.0 strategy and since its launch has been successful in grabbing a sizeable market share in the most crowded segment in the auto industry. The Tiago has become the preferred choice for youngsters who are looking for a stylish, feature-loaded, and safe car, with more than 60% of sales generated from first-time buyers.””

Launched way back in 2016, the car has a claimed market share of 19% in its segment. It comes with two fuel options, including 1.2-litre Revotron Petrol and the recently launched iCNG. Further, it also gets safety features like Dual Air Bags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Corner Stability Control (CSC) & Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Rear Parking Assist, among others.
