Tsuyo Manufacturing Private Limited (Tsuyo) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suzhou LvKON Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. (LvKON) to collaborate on delivering high-power solutions for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) in India.

The collaboration encompasses joint efforts on various projects across mature and emerging platforms widely used in China and other countries.

Under this partnership, Tsuyo LVKON plans to introduce a range of product solutions, including Direct Drive Motor (DM), Transmission Electric Drive (TED), Integrated Starting and Generating Motor (IM), Continuous Electric Drive (CED), and Super Transmission Bridge (STEA) for BEVs in 2024.

On the HEV side, offerings will include Parallel Hybrid Drive (PHD), Multi-Mode Hybrid Drive (MHD), and Continuous Hybrid Drive (CHD).

LvKON's role in creating a production line for heavy-duty motors and gearboxes aligns with Tsuyo's objectives, catering to the evolving demands of local customers in India. LvKON, committed to becoming a leading supplier in the new energy vehicle industry, brings expertise in research, development, production, and sales of automatic transmissions, drive motors, and hybrid powertrain systems.

Vijay Kumar, CEO of Tsuyo, stated that the company is confident in the growth plans for the next five years with the unique solutions tailored for heavy-duty commercial sectors and off-road vehicles.

Dr. Li Lei, CEO, LvKON, said that the company maintains over 35% market share in the commercial vehicle market and has achieved notable success in the electric vehicle sector, including a 55% market share in heavy-duty mining dump trucks and off-road vehicles.
