Uno Minda has commissioned a new EV systems plant in Farukhnagar, Haryana, under a joint venture with FRIWO AG Germany.
The new plant would manufacture On-board chargers, Off-board chargers, Motor Control Units, DCDC converters, Battery Management Systems, and many more products catering to EV two and three-wheelers.
In August 2023, the company commissioned its second EV systems plant under its subsidiary Uno Minda Buehler Motor (UMBM) in Bawal. The plant will manufacture traction motors/BLDC motors for EV two and three-wheelers. UMBM has already received orders from OEMs and is expected to start supplies by Q3 FY24.
The company received new orders with an annualised peak value of more than INR 600 crore for EV systems during Q1FY24. The aggregate order book now stands at more than INR 2,500 crore annualised peak value from EV OEMs comprising existing and EV-specific products. The company aims to achieve INR 1,500 crore in revenue from EV systems by FY26.
