Valeo Cyclee Makes Its Way To 20 Cycle Makers

French global automotive supplier Valeo announced that it has secured its position for supplying the Cyclee electric assistance system to 20 OEMs, including La Manufacture Française du Cycle, Ateliers HeritageBike, VUF Bikes, Cycleurope and FUELL to name a few.

Besides, it has adapted its production facilities, particularly atits plant in L'Isle d'Abeau, France, to manufacture its 48V electric bicycle assistance system from 2022, a press release from the company said.

The company exhibited the Cyclee 48V electric assistance system at the Eurobike in Frankfurt scheduled from July 13-17, 2022. The single module is fitted within the pedal assembly and integrates a 48V electric motor, an automatic gearbox and predictive software. Interestingly the automatic gearbox has been developed by the company in partnership with Effigear, the release noted.

Notably, the company announced its Move Up plan in February 2022, dubbed as a value creation strategy at the heart of the four megatrends disrupting mobility, including electrification, ADAS, reinvention of the onboard experience and lighting.
