Volvo Car India has introduced a new variant in the XC40 Recharge lineup, priced at Rs. 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Called the XC40 Recharge Single, bookings for this version are currently underway exclusively on the official website. This version is assembled at the brand’s facility in Karnataka.

The new XC40 Recharge Single is propelled by a 69kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor generating 236bhp and 420Nm of torque. It is claimed to return a range of 475km (WLTP cycle) on a single full charge, while speeds of 100kmph can be attained in 7.3 seconds.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge Single gets features such as LED headlamps, air purifier, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, seven airbags, lane keep assist, collision mitigation support, wireless mobile charging, and an ADAS suite. Also up for offer is a frunk with a capacity of 31 litres.

The introductory price of the XC40 Recharge includes a few additional benefits like eight-year battery and car warranty, three-year comprehensive car warranty, Volvo service package, RSA, five-year subscription for all digital services, and a 11kW wall box charger. This variant of Volvo’s electric SUV rivals the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BYD Seal.
