WardWizard Innovations Mobility’s flagship brand, Joy E-Bike, announced the launch of the EV Ancillary Cluster project.

Under this project, the company will invite its manufacturing partners to set up their production units under one roof while WardWizard provides them with land, infrastructure, human resources, and other essential resources. This will help bring down the imports and reduce the operations and logistic cost, the company claimed.

The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat government towards this initiative. As part of the agreement, it will invest INR 500 crore in the research and development of electric 2/ 3-wheelers by setting up the motor assembly at the Vadodara facility and developing ancillaries to manufacture raw materials.

Starting in a phased manner from February 2022, the project will focus on setting up plants for lithium-ion cell manufacturing, battery assembly, high-speed e2W and e3W, electric motors, BLDC hub motors and mid-drive motor, chassis and steel, along with subparts, chargers and controllers. Besides, it will also initiate R&D, designing and producing electronic components and plants for upcoming 4W projects.

Situated in Vadodara, Gujrat, this cluster claims to employ about 6,000 people. Further, the company also aims to cater to the international demands from markets like Africa, Latin America, Europe and other Asian markets.

Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director, Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, said, “As the government is supporting the transition to e-mobility with various incentives and subsidies, we are also committed to strengthen and boost the potential of the industry with the cutting-edge technology and a world-class range of products.”

With a portfolio of low-speed e2Ws, the company claims to have a network of 500 dealerships across 25 cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Vadodara, Surat, Nashik, among others.

Furthermore, the company also expanded its product portfolio by foraying into high-speed e2Ws. It launched three new products in the segment, including two high-speed e-scooters, Wolf+ and Gen Next Nanu+ at INR 1,10,185 and INR 1,06,991, ex-showroom, respectively, and a fleet management electric scooter, Del Go at INR 1,14,500, ex-showroom.

The three e2Ws are powered by a 1,500W motor delivering 20 Nm torque and achieving a top speed of 55 kmph. The vehicles are powered by a 60V 35Ah lithium-ion portable battery giving them a claimed range of 100 kms on a single charge.

On the features side, the Wolf+ and Gen Next Nanu+ come with GPS sensing, real-time position and geo-fencing, among others. While the Del Go features fleet health monitoring and geofence alerts, among others.

Available for booking from today onwards, these e2Ws come with a comprehensive warranty of 3 years.
