MSIL has claimed to have an order book of 16,000 units for the new Alto K10.


Maruti Suzuki India has re-introduced the Alto K10 brand in an all-new guise with a starting price of INR 3.99 lakh ex-showroom, India.

Underpinning the fifth generation HEARTECH platform, the new Alto K10 measures 3,530 mm in length, 1,520 mm in height and 1,490 mm in width.

Powering the new Alto K10 is the Next-Gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, producing 49kW at 5,500rpm of peak power and 89Nm at 3,500rpm of max torque.

The engine gets paired with a five-speed MT with a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.39 kmpl, while the AGS transmission variant comes with a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.9 kmpl.

The new model features peppy headlamps with a signature honeycomb grille at the front, while the side profile of the Alto K10 features 13-inch steel rims with a honeycomb pattern on the wheel cover; the rear gets dressed up with new combination tail lamps.

The new Alto K10 is offered in six colours: Metallic Sizzling Red, Metallic Silky White, Metallic Granite Grey, Pearl Metalic Earth Gold, Metallic Speedy blue and Solid White; the new car also gets two personalised packages: Impacto and Glinto. The Impacto package offers front and rear skid plates – colour accents, wheel arch cladding, body side moulding – black, door visor – smoke grey, ORVM cover and more. The Glinto offers front grille garnish, head lamp garnish, tail lamp garnish, door visor – garnish insert, among others.

The interior of the new Alto K10 features a 7-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system featuring smartphone navigation and smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and other SmartPlay Studio apps, along with steering-mounted audio controls, digital speedometer, front power window switches on the instrument panel and remote keyless entry.

On the safety side, the new Alto K10 has more than 15 safety features, including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, pre-tensioner and force limiter front seat belts, speed sensing auto door lock and high-speed alert, among others.

Digital Speedometer

Since the introduction of the first Alto in 2000, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 43.3 lakh units of the brand name over various alterations and generations.
