Altigreen has announced a strategic partnership with Bolt.Earth, a charging infrastructure provider for electric vehicles. Together, they aim to address the issue of range anxiety among electric 3-wheeler users by co-deploying 100 affordable 3.3 kW charging points in the first month and over 5000 charging points within the next three years.

A press release from Altigreen stated that the partnership underscores the need for swift and decisive measures to create a sustainable EV-charging ecosystem in the country.

The lack of readily accessible charging points has deterred many fossil-fuel 3-wheeler users from transitioning to electric vehicles, resulting in range anxiety. This partnership intends to play a crucial role in eliminating these barriers to the adoption of electric 3-wheelers by deploying timely charging solutions.

To create awareness, Altigreen will engage in cross-promotional activities to educate electric 3-wheeler users about Bolt.Earth's app, which helps drivers locate nearby charging points conveniently. In-store and on-the-ground campaigns will further publicize the benefits of this partnership

Dr. Amitabh Saran, Founder & CEO, Altigreen, said that the collaboration will enhance EV confidence among Altigreen's customers, dealers, and lease operators by offering accessible and cost-effective charging.

Through the deployment of accessible and affordable charging points, the company aims to empower users and instil confidence in the potential of electric vehicles, he added.

Raghav Bharadwaj, Head - Strategy and Thought Leadership, Bolt.Earth, said that the partnership with Altigreen aligns perfectly with the company’s mission to establish India as a prominent hub for the electric three-wheeler market.
