In a significant boost to Punjab's industrial sector, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently inaugurated Sonalika Tractors' ambitious INR 1300 crore expansion project at the world's largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. This move aligns with Sonalika's strategy, announced last year, to fuel further investment in the region, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing its position on the global stage.

Sonalika Tractors is set to channel INR 1000 crore into a new tractor assembly plant and an additional INR 300 crore into establishing a state-of-the-art high-pressure foundry. The new tractor assembly plant is poised to bolster Sonalika's export capacity, adding an additional 1 lakh tractors to its annual production capability. Engineered by Japanese experts and adhering to stringent Japanese manufacturing standards, DRAS aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of Sonalika's products, catering to over 150 countries worldwide.

Dr Amrit Sagar Mittal, Vice Chairman of Sonalika Tractors, expressed gratitude towards CM Mann for his presence and support, highlighting the government's role in facilitating this expansion through its efficient single-window system. Equipped with a German-engineered Kunkel Wagner high-pressure moulding line, the facility is set to enhance the quality of Sonalika's tractors, emphasising the brand's commitment to excellence and innovation.

During his visit to the existing facility, CM Mann lauded Sonalika's efficiency and its substantial contribution to Punjab's industrial landscape.
