Godawari’s Li-Ion Battery Gets AIS 156 Phase II Certification From ICAT

Manufactured by Ruchira Green, the new batteries are being used in its e-auto Eblu Rozee and e-loader Eblu Reino.

Godawari Electric Motors has announced that its 200Ah lithium-ion battery pack manufactured by Ruchira Green has received AIS 156 authorisation under Amendment-III Phase-II from the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT).

A press release from the vehicle maker noted that the company started using these certified batteries in its e-auto Eblu Rozee and e-loader Eblu Reino. The battery was tested extensively and has met all the safety and performance parameters mandated by ICAT under the latest amendment.

Hyder Khan, CEO, Godawari Electric Motors, noted that this is one of the key milestones the company has achieved since its inception.

Earlier in an interaction with Mobility Outlook, he noted that the company plans to launch five new products while increasing its touchpoints and market presence in FY24 as it enters its first year of production.
